  17. I have the idea that learning visual c++ is a reachable goal, but I'm having 
  18. difficulty getting over the initial stumbling blocks.  I see things *past* the 
  19. basics that make sense to me, but other, obviously *basic* things are causing 
  20. me some consternation.  I don't even want to post them as they seem 
  21. idiotically simple.  What I'm hoping is to find a programmer with a little 
  22. idle time and a lot of patience who wouldn't mind answering a few eye-rolling 
  23. dumb questions (E-mail?) for the first chapter of K&R.  Thank you!
